Q: Is my donation tax deductible?

National Forest Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.

Q: How can my business or organization make a donation?

To donate by credit card, please select the checkbox "Is this a company credit card?" at checkout and enter your organization's name. If you would like to establish a corporate partnership or discuss other ways to provide support, please contact our office by email at donorsupport@nationalforests.org or by phone at 406-542-2805.

Q: Can I make an offline donation?

Q: Can I send a physical tribute card in the mail?

We have suspended our printed tribute card program; however, if you choose to create an eCard dedication you can print and mail your dedication. The simplest way is to print and mail and eCard is to enter your email address into the Recipient's email address field and print the eCard from your email inbox.

Q: What other ways can I donate?

There are many ways to support our mission! We accept gifts from your IRA, Donor Advised Fund, stock gifts, and planned gifts. Review all the options at https://www.nationalforests.org/get-involved/ways-to-give.

Northern Colorado Fireshed Fund

Since its launch in 2023, the Northern Colorado Fireshed Fund has awarded more than $2.4M to 15 community-connected partners across the fireshed boundary, helping advance forest resilience, partner capacity, and landscape-scale wildfire mitigation efforts.

Grants may build organizational capacity, enhance fireshed readiness, and increase the pace and scale of forest treatments throughout the region.

The National Forest Foundation works hard to maximize your donations. We are proud that we invest 80% of every donation in conservation programs. The National Forest Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are approved by Charity Navigator and Guidestar. While we understand that you may have a National Forest near and dear to your heart, we apologize that we are not able to designate your donation to a specific forest or location.
